First Confession and First Holy Communion 2025

First Confession and First Holy Communion are only for children baptised in the Roman Catholic Church. Every child must be registered with our Parish and provide proof of baptism in order to receive the sacraments of First Confession and First Holy Communion.

Registration opens on Sunday 8th September 2024 and closes on Friday 27th September 2024.

Dates for First Holy Communion 2025

• The parish will arrange dates in consultation with each school during September.
• Dates will be confirmed and published here on Monday 30th September 2024.

First Confession/First Reconciliation will take place during Lent 2025. Arrangements of dates and times will be made with each school closer to the time.

Our Parish will provide some resources directly to parents throughout the year, as they are made available through the diocese, to assist them and their children in preparing for these Sacraments. This is in addition to and complimentary of the Grow in Love programme which is being done in the RE classes in school.
