Fr Gerry Conroy OFM in Cuba
I received from Fr. Gerry Conroy an electronic version of a great article in the Irish Catholic newspaper, Pages 14 & 15. A report on his great work in Cuba. Gerry lived on Orchard Road in the village and the house has only been sold after the recent death of his mother. Gerry was an outstanding Gaelic footballer play with Towers up to Minor grade and a few senior games before he decided to go for the priesthood , Maybe a few lines in the parish newsletter could be found. This is a photo taken at the Round Towers Annual Club Mass in July 2017 when Gerry was home and he concelebrated the Mass with L/R Fr. Fergal Maguire (Boot Road) and Fr. Damian with Altar Server, Aisling Roebuck.
