#MADSunday 2020

This beautifully simple initiative hopes to encourage ALL people make a conscious effort to do at least one simple thing to help another & share it on social media (any platform) with the #MADSunday to help, support, inspire, give hope & encourage others!

Here in our parish this year we will be taking part in Make A Difference or “MAD” Sunday (25th October) with a focus on climate.

Well done to all who took part in the MAD clothes challenge last week. This week we’re inviting you to    assess your Ecological Handprint, and if you’re up for a real challenge, to sign a Climate Pledge!

Here’s the Challenge for week 3
• Download “My MAD Ecological Handprint” resource from above
• Complete the Ecological Handprint on page 1
• Consider signing the Climate Pledge on page 2
• Submit copies/photo of your Ecological Handprint and/or Climate Pledge to the parish
• Either on the Parish FB page (@TheCCPCDublin) or email us on office@clondalkinparish.com
• Share it to others and encourage them to take part!!

“Can you take the Climate Pledge?”

As we continue our MAD Sunday Climate Challenge we thank all who took part in the MAD Foodprint challenge last week. Seems tins of beans, peas and spaghetti looked at with some surprising results.. This week we’re focussing on clothing and encouraging you to take the ‘MAD Clothes challenge’ to see how climate friendly your clothes are.

Here’s the Challenge for week 2

  • Download the “My MAD Clothes Challenge” sheet above
  • Pick a day and complete the assessment on page 1
  • Look at the MAD suggestions at the bottom of page 2 and pick the one that connects the most with them
  • Tell you what you have picked!! Either on the Parish FB page (@TheCCPCDublin) or email us on office@clondalkinparish.com
  • Share it to others and encourage them to take part!!

Will to you be MAD food advocate?

Can you do one good deed – One act of Kindness each day in October –

We will be working towards #MADSunday this year (25th Oct) keep an eye out hear for loads of ideas & Resources for all ages and groups

Make a Difference (MAD) Sunday 25th October 2020 – is an open invitation to everyone – seriously everyone, anywhere, any age, any background, and any religion. This beautifully simple initiative hopes to encourage ALL people make a conscious effort to do one simple thing to help another & share it to help, inspire, give hope & encourage others!

On Sunday 25th Oct

It’s a day on which we are encouraging young and not so young, groups or individuals, parents & children, clubs & societies, families & friends, politicians & teachers,… to look out for others and make a small difference in their home, community, school, parish, etc..  To consciously do at least one simple act of kindness and then share it with us.                                                                                                     

You can come together as a group to plan & do something or do something on your own.  Big or small – it’s up to you! Be creative, get involved, do something and share it with us/everyone!! #madsunday
